Sheri Small, Art Director for Windham Fabrics, To Be Featured on Upcoming ARTV Awards Show
JERSEY CITY, NJ. - Sheri Small, art director at Windham Fabrics, a division of Baum Textile Mills, will have some of her work featured at the upcoming ARTVAwards show, due to air March 28, 2007. Nominated for Recognition in the Fine Art category of PAINTING - Murals, Sheri was among a select group of artists chosen to compete this prestigious award.
The 2005 ARTVAwards show, originally filmed in Las Vegas in October of 2005, will air on March 28, 2007, on NBC's BRAVO network. Dubbed the "MTV for Fine Arts," the ARTVAwards are intended to give fine artists the exposure and recognition that performing artists currently enjoy.
The ARTV cameras caught Sheri painting a mural on-site at the 2005 New York Art Expo and became immediately enthralled with her work. "No one does this at the Art Expo,"says Sheri, "There I was, in my painting clothes and braids, having a ball. Before I knew it, the ARTV cameras were on me and it took off!"
Sheri is currently the art director at Windham Fabrics, a division of Baum Textile Mills, Inc., in JerseyCity, NJ. She brings a strong fine arts background from her private company, 7 Fine Arts, to the position and draws on her love for color and classic technique to create exciting reproduction and contemporarytextile designs."
