Anna Griffin Inc. Launches Fabric Collection at October Quilt Market

Atlanta, GA - Anna Griffin Inc. announced today plans to launch new quilting collections in partnership with Windham Fabrics, a division of Baum Textile Mills, Inc. at the International Quilt Market, October 28 - 30, 2006 in Houston, Texas. Inspired by Anna Griffin, Inc.'s most popular scrapbooking papers and fine stationery lines, Anna Griffin by Windham Fabrics will premier six collections at the upcoming market: Eliza, Bailey, Nina, Grace, Elsie's Kitchen and Sloane. Each collection contains an average of 20 patterns of 100% cotton, 43/44 wide printed fabrics.

The collections are as diverse as the quilting consumers themselves:

  • Eliza is charming, feminine and sweet. Floral patterns in strong pastels depicting ribbon swags and rose garlands give Eliza an English garden feel.
  • Bailey is filled with fun and adventure. The brightly colored jungle animals and whimsical circus prints coordinate with dots, harlequins and paisleys in candy apple red and tangy orange, guaranteed to bring a smile.
  • Nina, the star of the show, features the imagery of an elegant wedding where tones of cream florals and platinum scrollwork combine to make instant heirlooms.
  • Grace offers signature Anna Griffin florals in rich hues of antique blue and perfect plum coordinating patterns.
  • Elsie's Kitchen invites you into the 1950's kitchen with its retro-fresh patterns; ripe cherries, tart lemons and juicy fresh fruit provide true vintage detail in this blast-from-the-past collection.
  • Sloane is chic, stylish and oh so en vogue! This collection features big flowers, bold graphic prints - chocolate brown, coral, fuchsia, red, and black - and adds a dose of cosmopolitan flair to sewing projects.

Anna Griffin, founder and president of Anna Griffin, Inc., will be on-hand to meet customers on Sunday, October 29 and the morning of Monday, October 30 at the Anna Griffin by Windham Fabrics showroom. Regularly featured on QVC, DIY, and HGTV, Anna Griffin is the designer and personality behind the internationally known brand of quality paper products and accessories.

"I'm thrilled to be launching this fabric line with Windham Fabrics," said Griffin. "The fabric engravings capture the details of our prints and colors with remarkable clarity, which will translate beautifully into consumers' quilts and home craft projects."

"The Anna Griffin brand recognition in the craft industry, not to mention the beautiful designs, made this a natural partnership for Windham Fabrics," said Mickey Krueger, president of Baum Textile Mills, Inc. "We anticipate an incredible reception to the new collections at the October market."

With a style uniquely her own, Anna Griffin has created a career out of her passion for collecting. In her 17 years as a graphic designer, she has created numerous product lines inspired by antique engravings, European textiles, and hand-painted botanicals from her personal archives. For more information about an Anna Griffin License, contact Courtney Davis, Inc. at 415-772-9000.

Available to quilt shops only, the Anna Griffin fabric collections will be available in quilt shops for Fall 2006. To see the complete collections, as well as other vintage and contemporary quilting lines from Windham Fabrics, visit www.windhamfabrics.com or call 866-842-7631.
