"Regency Dandy" fabrics by Gerald Roy Offer Vivid Colors and Bold Patterns on a Unique Vintage Collection
JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Regency Dandy fabric collection designed for Windham Fabrics, c. 1810, by Gerald E. Roy of Pilgrim/Roy is sure to gain popularity among quilters of both tradtional and contemporary venues.
Gerald's inspiration for the collection goes back to Beau Brummell, a highly dapper, well dressed gentleman, known as "The Dandy," who reinvented the fashions of England's Regency period. Similarly, Regency Dandy presents these authentic patterns that were originally adapted during the late 18th and early 19th century from Ancient Greek and Roman designs.
Composed of 9 patterns and 38 exciting colorways, the collection features historic patterns and bright, bold colors that were unusual, but not uncommon during that time period. The timeless designs and innovative colors encourage creativity and bring a refreshing new source of energy and inspiration to today's fabric lovers.
Designer Gerald Roy, a renowned author, teacher, antique quilt collector, and quilt maker, resides in New Hampshire. To see this complete Quilt Shop Only collection and available free projects of Windham's latest fabric collections, visit www.windhamfabrics.com.
