Step Back in Time with "Old Glory II: The 13 Original Colonies" - a new line by Nancy Gere for Windham Fabrics
JERSEY CITY, NJ. - Windham Fabrics announces a new addition to its Fall 2006 lineup - Old Glory II: The 13 Original Colonies, designed by Nancy Gere, c. 1840.
With the authentic look of tea-stained, time-worn fabrics, these Americana designs are a delight for traditionalists of all ages. Old Glory offers an "old" twist on some old favorites: stars and stripes combined with small patterns, pieced patchworks, and florals, in deep reds, blues and browns.
Originating from England in the late 1830s, the focal print in this collection was printed for the American market to commemorate the eagle as our national symbol. Today, they serve as a reminder of the great freedoms of America and the solidarity of its people - a traditional theme that still hits home centuries later.
Available to Quilt Shops Only, Old Glory II is expected in stores in early November 2006. Windham Fabrics is known as the leaders in the industry for authentic vintage fabric reproductions.
